Hi,
would someone please just click on www.morethangifts.co.uk and see if it looks OK.
Can you get onto the site and can you see and click on images?
I have lost complete access - it says I am not allowed access!
When I did get limited access it would not let me click through.
Although I am worried, it is not quite so bad if my visitors are still seeing everything as normal.

It could be that I am at "real" work at the moment though, so I am working on a network.

Yep, that is the message I am getting - this is worrying that others are getting it.
Don't know what to do at the moment. I haven't altered anything except I was told by my ex-hosting company that I still had a domain called www.more-than-gifts.co.uk and it was due for renewal.
I have not bought it - must have been my ex web designer - so I clicked onto it to see if anything was set up on it and I got the message we are receiving now.
Didn't think too much about it - just that it was an obsolete domain but had the problems since!
Don't know if it is a co-incidence or what.

Do you think that maybe because you didn't renew the other domain, that your providers have accidentally deleted both?

Or maybe your webdesigner had your morethangifts site somehow redirecting to the more-than-gifts site.

Sorry, I'm not the best one to answer really as I am rubbish at this sort of thing!

I can navigate fine around the site using the link that Chell found, but the home page is not loading properly otherwise. I would imagine that most people will find your site through google or whatever so you will probably be OK while you work out what has caused this issue.

Thanks everyone. I don't think I can do anything to correct it as I haven't done anything for it to go wrong (so can't reverse my actions!).
I am wondering if the hosting server is down.
Can any techie people help me with this thought? If it was on another hosting server, would it right itsself?
I can not get hold of my hosting provider - they are not answering emails or telephone and their voice mail is full!! Makes me wonder........

Hi, it is only 'working' because I have overridden with an old homepage file. Anything that I updated earlier today is actually missing off the website so a lot of images etc are still not linking.
All the pages I updated are only showing as 1kb in size so somewhere between admin (that looks OK) and uploading onto the server, it is losing the info.
Still, it is slightly better than it was although still needs to be fixed.
Wish I understand the technical side more!!!

If any techie person can understand this simple language.....
I alter my site in an admin panel. I then upload using a html catalog facility. This updates the remote files in Dreamweaver. (I use DW - I understand that more).
Between the html catalog and remote files some of the files are being lost and showing as 1kb in size. Then I get the error message for those files.
In my ftp program, these files are still there in full. How can I get the files from the ftp system to be read by the internet as my current files.

If that makes sense to anyone, you deserve a medal!!

Can get into home page but get a forbidden to go through xmas gifts.

Can't get in to subcategories.

Who do you host with?? May be worth doing a search on them to see if it throws anything up.

You could try asking on ukbusinessforums, there are quite a few techies on there who may be able to help you.
