Sorry meant to say advising me of how much I would get when I reach retirement age. Im going on a bit but not quite pensionable yet!

Does anyone have a private pension plan?

I got one about a year ago and it scared me as i'm not entitled to much because i've been a sahm . So i am looking into getting a private one.

I got a letter about state pension last year (or maybe yr before?) going by current news reports, we won't be able to claim til we are 85 anyway!

I did pay into my old works pension scheme (about 15 yrs worth!) have to see what I can do about that ...

I have my pension through work but it is one that I can take with me. I pay in a percentage per month and work pays in the same.

I did have a letter last year saying that I wouldn't have enough for a state pension as I didn't make NI payments for 3 years while I was working in the shop.Well I think thats what it said, last year is a long time ago now.

I still have my pension that I paid into when I was working and I think my hubby set another one up for me........oooh, you know since I left work I let him handle on the money things, if he popped his clogs tomorrow I wouldn't have a clue!! He has done a spread-sheet for me that tells me where everything is but I would have to find it on the PC first! :hysterica

I got that letter last year, I just think it's to remind women of our age who may not have paid the full nat insurance stamp to think about paying voluntary contributions

I got the same letter as Bunny just before Christmas - although think it's the pensions dept trying to get more money out of me!!! I got a letter from them last summer teling me that my NI stamp hadn't been paid when I was on maternity after having madam and wanting me to stump up the money, I wrote back and explained why I didn't think I needed to pay and got a letter from them a couple of months later saying my case had been reviewed and there wasn't any money owing. :ac39: It's just as well I didn't pay without questioning it!
