HI,
I just wondered if any crafters are at any crafts etc fairs this weekend.
I've got a stall at a church fair and I always get nervous. I have only done a couple before. I always fear not selling anything.
I think it's because I'm still quite new to my venture and a lot of other stalls look so professional. I can't afford things like really nice display stand etc.
LOL last night I was sticking cereal boxes toegther to make tiered levels to put under my table cloth to raise some items up etc (does that make sense!)
what does anyone else do makeshift to get by?
Good luck to anyone selling at a fair/fete etc this weekend

Not a crafter but I am taking books out tomorrow. I have one big stand I bought but this is a space limited event so I will only have my plate stands to put the books on and the rest will have to be initiative!

Here's to both of us having lots of sales!

A lady I know who makes her own bags uses packs of kitchen roll still in their cellophane stacked under cloth to display her bags at various heights.

I put the boxes I take my stuff in under my table covering. I also use logs of different heights to put my jewellery on which looks nice and natural. How about getting a nice branch or maybe some twisted willow and cementing, (or use plaster of paris etc) into a terracotta pot and use it to hang your hanging things on. You could spray it a different colour if you didn't want it to be its natural colour.

I have got a stand at a gift fair tomorrow. I spent ages wrapping different boxes in gold paper to look like gifts and will use them to create height on my table and put things on.
