Hello,
I am in the process of setting myself up as a sole trader. I would like to sell favours aimed at weddings and for gifts. I have been searching a lot of hosting companies to see what ecommerce or eshops they provide. The majority are too expensive for me to afford...I am a stay at home and do not bring in an income (just surviving on limited redundancy) so can only really afford under £8 per month. I know that 1and1 and 123-reg can offer a shop/hosting for around £5 - £9 per month but I am not sure their layout/templates are what I am after (a bit limited...).
Can anyone recommend any other fairly cheap alternatives...I tried to download ZenCart for free but seem to be having trouble installing it as I use Windows XP and I don't understand the techie talk in their notes!
As for the requirements I need....I would not be selling more than 50 products (just starting very small to between with to see how I get on!) and do you recommend SSL certificate? Also my preferred payment payment for customers would be PayPal.
Thanks for any help/advice as I am sure a lot of you have done this already with your business :D
