Has anyone else used this? Yet another thing to obsess about and distract us from day to day business but could be useful and the report you get makes interesting reading. Stallfinder got a score of 83 - we've got a few things to work on but it ranks us in the top 4.81% of websites for traffic which would be lovely if it's accurate!

You can check out other sites and see how they rank too.

It is really useful and has very much helped me work out priorities for SEO...plus pick up a few stupid errors which are easily remedied!

Didn't think of doing my blog! The results might not be great as it's pretty new and hosted on Blogger rather than our site.

Just done my site got a score of 64. I like the way it gives you pointers. We got 8.71% of the traffic which again would be fab if true! Thanks for telling us about this tool. I'll add the tips as things on the to do list for tomorrow.

According to some SEO bods on UKBF it's not 100% accurate but then they charge for their advice and this is free! I wouldn't completely overhaul my website as a result of this but I think it definitely helps identify areas for improvement.

I just did my site.. and it's not looking too good :(
But yea, if you're planning to redo something on your site, free tools online is not the way to go. Better consult a professional.

I think you'll find a lot of Mumszone members disagree with you there. Many have achieved good search engine positions by researching themselves and a lot of hard work - but all free ;-)

good site, especially if you are starting out and need some pointers.
What I found anusing was when it tells you your own history, ie how many times your site has been searched using their tools. You can compare with other sites you see.
My results were pleasing, but I had already been searched ten times previously!!!!:cheesy:

Thanks for posting that web address. It looks interesting and has some tips. It tells me to set up a permanent redirect called a 301 direct between my blog and my website.
Does anyone have any idea what it is talking about?

Not sure how to do it either but I googled it and this came up

Interesting the article about not using blogspot! I'm not sure I have the energy to move it anywhere though.

Also, it recommended listing on yahoo, $300 a year isn't cheap, are you all listed?

it suggested that for me too. I've not paid to register! I can't afford to pay to register with anywhere!

Karen sorted that bit out for me: apparently if you drill down to find your particular category there is an option to submit for free :)

I haven't had chance to action any of the suggestions from my report yet but
it'll be interesting to see how it affects my score. My blog didn't get a massive score as expected.

lol ooh dont know about that! its all just from tinkering around and reading loads of articles etc.
I agree with Chell, theres often little point in paying professionals IMO- all the info is out there for free! Although it is mega time consuming I guess! :cheesy:

I'm pleased to have gone from 65 to 72 in the last week or so - it has spurred me on (together with some help from Anne) to get back onto Digg and Delicious.
Maybe Squidoo next!
