It is that time of year again when I need to decide about christmas cards for the business. Do you send to everyone who has ordered from you or just special customers?

It would cost me an absolute fortune in postage costs if I sent to all my customers. I thought about just sending to the people who have had higher monitary orders, regular customers and businesses but I don't want to alienate the other customers.

What do you all do?

I sell some lovely ones if you need any?

I think I will probably send a Christmas good wishes email, explaining that I do not send cards for environmental reasons, but instead make a donation to charity. This is what I do in my "proper" business, so would do it for any web customers on my new retail venture too.

That is a good idea. I have a package where I can make ecards but thought that people might be wary with so many ecard viruses going around.

Thanks ann0024, will take a look at them if I decide to send paper cards. Can you post a link to them.

I send an e-card to all customers and send a "real" card to selected suppliers, my national account buyers, etc.

Last year though iirc I didn't send any I did a donation to oxfam unwrapped and then sent their ecard explaining it to all and sundry (although that could have been the year before).

I bought training for a midwife in a third world country instead of sending out cards and just let people know in the xmas newsletter

I donated to the Oxfan unwrapped programme too: they have a 'start a women in her own business' gift which seemed very appropriate.

I forgot to do a card last year - but I think I can be excused as it was Eithne's first Christmas. :D

I will likely do an e-card this year for Ihelm Enterprises and a Christmas newsletter for Delicate Dreams.
