Stumbled Upon

I had a load of referrals from Stumbled Upon on so I registered for a nosey and have been adding sites. Happy to do reciprocal Stumbling if anyone's interested. I've already done Mumszone WAH forum page.

I don't really get stumbled upon - I'm being a bit thick with it. I've registered, but can you put your own website details on there?

I get a bit confused with it all. If you install the Stumble toolbar then you should be able to just give any site you're looking at the thumbs up or the thumbs down. I'm not sure if you can do your own site. I think the more thumbs up you get and good ratings then the more chances you get at being randomly selected when people are Stumbling around. I've just been getting s lots of referrals from it so I thought I'd give it a go and thought we could all Stumble each other. I'll Stumble your site when I've finished posting.

Hi,
You can give this site the thumbs up from here you don't have to search for it on Stumbed Upon unless you haven't got the tool bar at the top of your screen. I went to your site via your profile and did it from there - I had to give you a review so it looks as though you hadn't been stumbled before.
Apparently you can install a button on your site to make it easier for people to do it - same with Diggit and Delicious or whatever it's called. I'm going to have a play with them later as well.

I've stumbled every page on my sites and each time they get stumbled, by anyone, my web traffic goes up. Not as convinced by digit and the others though.

I've just stumbled you. Samigail's homepage is in her profile. Can you stumble your own site then? If I did all the pages on my site it would take ages - it's a directory/database so it's massive!

Just read up and it's not generally recommended to stumble your own site over and over as you can get banned.

Just stumbled all 5 of yours Moomum. Issbyboo, the way I understand it is that the more times someone gives your site the thumbs up then it has more chances of being picked up when people are doing the randon Stumble i.e. a bit like having loads of lottery tickets rather than just one. My site was rated by someone and put under Crafts - there's loads of different categories your site can go under and users can narrow their searches I think.
As it's free I'm happy to give it a go and see what happens. I've definitely had lots of visitors from it already so if anyone else would like to Stumble my site please do.

Stumble increases site traffic and raises your profile.

CTL & F11 together might bring it back as its like an on/off switch and hides it. I've already Stumbled you but I'll see if it'll let me do it again.
