It hasn't stopped raining all night and all morning. So I set off for the agricultural show, not knowing what to expect. I managed to get on the showfield, to find mud upto my knees. Did the best thing and got myself off as soon as I could. Everyone was getting stuck in the mud, well those that had managed to get that far. Even if it stops raining there is know way I am going back tomorrow as the field will be a mess. Don't think they will be offering any refunds. Will my luck ever change?

I didnt even bother setting off to mine, so your much braver than me!
Just rang myfriend that did and its muddy and cars are skidding on the field!
I have saved myself petrol (it was 50 miles away) time and also babysitting money to dd for having ds ! so i think i made a good call. Dont beat yourself up about luck hunni, just make your day productive in other ways:) :kisshands:

It's a tricky thing with refunds when it's beyond the organisers control. It's a risk you have to take with doing an outdoor event. I would have thought it would have been cancelled though as I can't imagine the public would want to trawl around a muddy field in torrential rain.

Oh what a shame. It is horrid when you spend money on a stall for it to be a flop.

It didn't rain as much today but didn't want to risk getting stuck in the mud so just stayed at home. Glad I did because I have been talking to friend who was there helping in out in the industrial tent, she said it was a total wash out.
