Poor kids - at least someone has noticed though. There is so much child neglect that goes unnoticed/unreported these days that no one hears about until a tragedy happens.

Just a quickie question - how old should a child be, to be left home alone - say to go to shops for an hour, or pop to the corner shop for half an hour.
