Hi, I am wanting some info on Bamboo nappies, fitted and flats before I order some. We don't have these in oz atm but am hoping some of the whams will start to stock them soon. Being a bit impatient, ok v. impatient LOL.
I was wondering about drying times as well as how long/well do they stay as soft as they are when bought exspecially when line dried in the sun?
Ok the last question, where do I go to buy them [any recomendations?] and what is the best brand, in your opinion?
thanks heaps everyone, any advice welcome!

hi
www.nappynation.co.uk do bamboo prefolds and flat nappies. I worked for them at the baby show and they sold out of flat nappies. They are sooo nice and soft to the touch. I think babeco do bamboo too and I think they sell material too.
go to www.theclothresource.co.uk for a link to babeco
I am sure if you contact them they will ship. Margaret is lovely.
this is what she gave me on bamboo
Bamboo has hardly any impact on the environment; it thrives naturally without the use of pesticides.
Bamboo fabric is antibacterial by nature, even after 100 washes the bamboo fibre still possesses it’s anti bacterial properties.
Bamboo is 60% more absorbent than cotton, and dries 20% quicker.

Well theres www.Babeco.co.uk as mentioned, who do squares (flats) and shaped, as well as www.TotsBots.com who do shaped (lovely) nappies, also Babykind do a bamboo insert or booster
http://www.babykind.co.uk/pocketnappyinserts.htm#bambooinsert
I use the Tots one and its very absorbant and takes awhile to dry tho not as long as hemp nappies. It has stayed soft in a hard water area, the fibres tend to bulk up gradually when washed.
It's possible to get babeco on ebay and www.time2changeuk.com do them too, so you could try different companies to see who does the cheapest shipping.

I've only got a bamboo insert for a Fuzzi Bunz, it is good but does seem to shrink, Babykind.co.uk is a good place to but from.

I sell cloth nappies. I love the hemp swaddlebees with the hemp liner. I've also just got hold of the brand new organic velour swaddlebees they are lush.
The best and most absorbant nappy I've used though is Stuffies, they are made by a local Wahmum www.stuffienappies.co.uk
Most of mine are listed on my website. I think the wrap is as important as the nappy and I use (and sell) motherease airflow, best I've used and recommended to me by lots of people.

I love the swaddlebees but you have to watch out if you have a heavy wetter as they wick, plus I've not solved the liner problem and squashed poo isn't nice, any advice ???
