Nope they have gone to pot, it seems to happen every summer when they get temporary workers in.

The whole thing is a complete mess!!

it took 4 weeks for a parcel to get to my sister in London and 2 days for a parcel to arrive in Italy with a customer. madness

I've had a few parcels go missing (on the way to me, not from me) so am keeping my fingers crossed for all the stuff I'm expecting this week.

Our nice postie got replaced recently with a guy who looks so uninterested in the job and forces stuff through the letterbox rather than knock on the door GRR

We haven't had any mail for a couple of days now which is very unusual for us.

Hope the lost ones turn up.
You don't live in Lancaster do you? Your postie sounds like the one my friend had when he lived there -I once sent a box of eggs inside a very very rigid box with foam packing. He squashed one end of it to half its thickness (must have stood on it) so it would more or less wedge in the letterbox. And it had EGGS FRAGILE DO NOT CRUSH marked in red inch high letters all over both sides of the parcel.
