Maybe they are similer cos Colette said Katie wont bring up her wind so the milk is sitting in her stomache n she is awake crying at night.

In that case poor Collette I have tried almost everything including watching what I am eating/drinking as sometimes too much lactos can upset them seemed to work for a few nights but now I am back to square one , even gave up drinking pepsimax incase the caffine in that was upsetting her cryingsmil

Does the HV have any tips?
My HV was a saint id have been lsot without her-she must have got fed up of my Q's!!
she was the one that suggested giving up eating dairy products , I tend to drink a lot of milk when breast feeding , trouble is when you've had more than one you get treated like you know what your doing and to be honest I haven't a clue at the moment feeling slightly lost without my mum around

Awwwww! she is gorgeous, those big eyes""cutey""b
Hope both Collette and Azzi and their babies get things sorted soon:yes: emily would never wind if you patted her back, we used to jig around the room with her or bounce gently on the knee. If she did get colicky we used to dip her dummy in water{bad, bad mummy giving poor baby a dummy, I know} or give her cooled boiled water in her bottle to drink more often than not. It worked for her but all babies are different. You have my sympathy - but I am still jealous because i want one!!!!!:babyflips

She is beautiful will have to post a pic of my lovely Dd. Hope Katie settles soon.
Azzi, I was having a mare with Phoebe a while ago, I took her to a cranial Osteopath and that helped. I tried giving up dairy too and didn't have much luck. I gave up eating quorn and that seems to have helped, also I put a drop of chamoile in some massge oil and massaged her feet, which she loves. Evidently the feet absorb better than any other part of the body and it's good for the tummy to massage the feet. I also brought a sling which she loves falling asleep in and has been a life saver.
Feel free to pm me if you need a sympathetic ear

HELLO! It's so nice to know that I'm being missed! As you can see by the pic Katie is growing well, she was weighed on Thursday and is now 8 lb 15! Her days and nights are still very mixed up so we're really tired and it's not being helped by her refusing to burp - her poor tummy is cramping like mad with it, we've tried infacol, dentinox and boiled water, the water seems to help most.
Dh went back to work on Monday so am trying to find my feet with two kids and things are going ok. Christine has really thrown herself into tantrums and is getting really hard to cope with, I know it's probably a reaction to Katie but it's really wearing me down. It's not being helped by me being the only one saying no to her at the minute (everyone else is letting her do what she wants until she'sreally hyped up and it's up to me to calm her down) She screamed for half an hour today cryingsmil Her attitude to Katie is still fantastic though, she loves stroking Katies face and kissing her so I guess it could be much worse.

Sorry just got back (I seem to be saying this in all my posts don't I  ).
I agree Katie is GORGEOUS!!! What a lovely baby! Yeah she makes me feel broody, oh no but I can't have another kid just yet  . Hope she sorts out her days and nights soon (Azzi's baby too). Have absolutely no help re not burping, Colette, but you got my sympathies. Fawwaz was exactly the same and I suffered for two months. But hey, on the bright side his tummy got so strong that right after he hit two months he never had another colic or wind problem, ever!

Well, days and nights are getting a bit more sorted and we're having some luck on the wind front as well, the HV suggested mixing 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed orange juice with 2 tablespoons of water and giving that to her, it's helping her go no 2 (sorry if TMI! She had only been going every other day because of the cramping) so she's a bit more settled there. We're using Dr Brown bottles as well and they seem to help with burping (although at that price they should do!)
Christine still hasn't decided if she likes me yet - but is very clingy at the same time, if I try to go out without her you'd think I was abandoning her! It was dh's birthday last week and mum came up to look after the girls for us, Christine cried so hard I wanted to cancel going out and she's never done that before (usually I get a quick bye as the door is slammed shut on my bum!!!!)

I suppose Collette is only doing what any of us would do if our partners brought home some new woman to share our house with. (Wish mine would, she could wash his socks and clean up after him and give me a break lol)
I think it all settles in the end, at least she likes Katie, my ds nearly bit dd's finger off when she was just a few weeks old lol.
Love Kate
