We got two hammies snowy n spots-seperate rooms n seperate cages.

Snowy is the one we know is a boy n he is super clean n no smell or owt.

Spots is driving me mad-we change her cage n use special animal disinfectant etc n within half n hour the cage n room stink too high heaven of pee-any ideas cos it is driving me mad now-id have thought the boy would smell by marking his space itms but this one we beleive is a girl.

Sounds to me as though she could have a water infection. I would nip her down to the vets to get them to check her out.

If its not try putting some cat litter under her usual bedding , used to do that for my rats if she uses a certain corner put it just there

Just remember Lynx and hamsters doesn't mix

I get lavender sawdust for ours and it seems to do the trick for smells, we have one of each plus 4 mice and none of them smell too bad. It is the boys that usually smell more than the girls especially mice.

We have had a few hammies in the past and I have found all the girls one stink! We started to avoid get females in the end but the scented shavings do work like Kate said. Either that or send it to the sd!!
