Hi
Can anyone tell me what has worked best for them in the way of advertising for party hosts and people that may want a part time job. I have a limited budget to spend and so obviously want to get the most from it.

I suppose it really depends on what sort of people you are after. With my parties, I needed people who were artistic/interested in Make-up - for the make up side of the parties, and then people who were able to do hair, so when I started out I approached the local beauty and hairdressing college to see if there was anyone who was interested in working on a casual basis. If it is just to play party games with children and run activities then I would poss consider approaching people from a drama group, or college, if you would like older people to help then what about asking around some of the mums at school. Lastly if you are considering franchising and are looking further afield then I would consider this a other parenting websites.
Not sure if my ramblings have helped but good luck

Have you tried the Mum and Working website?
What about sponsoring MZ and having a banner ad about the party plan side of your business.
You could post on A1 Business forums too.

I'd start off targetting mothers with young kids, so try:
playgroups
toddler groups
local party venues (halls, community centres, leisure centres)
schools
doctors surgeries/clinics
soft play areas
