Has anyone had a problem with OsCommerce and Nochex?

It works 99% of the time but a few times I have had a payment through and I can see the customers movements in statcounter but there is no record of the sale on the website.

Last time it was ok as the Nochex email address told me who the customer was and it matched a customer ID. DH was able to find what they'd ordered in the database. This time I can't work out who they are so I have no idea how to find out who they are/what they bought in the database.

i've refunded the payment and apologised. Does anyone know why this might happen so I can ensure it gets fixed?

I'm not sure. I have nochex installed, but no one has used it as yet. If it works in the same way that paypal does, I'd say go to nochex and check that the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) is set correctly, ie: it has the right details in it. i know a few people that have had a similar pronlem through their sites with order being made, but no dertails, and the IPN was what it boiled down to.

I only get one sale in about 200 that use Nochecks, and they seem to go through ok

It has done it again today when Suzi ordered. Again I could see her movements in statcounter and have got the payment but it isn't showing in the admin panel. :unsure:

I believe its an issue with the IPN (similar to what happens if you have the original form of paypal integration with oscommerce).

Basically the customer doesnt get properly passed back to the website so the order is not logged.

If it seems to be random then its probably a blip in the payment processor not relaying back properly.

Thanks Sadie, Suzi did say that Nochex was having a funny when she first tried to pay. I wondered afterwards if had been caused by there being quite delay between leaving the site and the payment actually being made.

Do I need a message or anything to tell them to return to the site after submitting the payment?
