A friend and I were discussing holding a "Ladies Evening" to raise funds for the school which could include selling crafts and stuff. I was wondering if any of you would/could be interested in getting involved. If distance is a problem, are there any other arrangements we could do whereby we could promote you or try to sell your products?
We are only at talking stages so haven't worked out dates or laid down any concrete plans but we are thinking of mid-November.
I hope its ok for me to post this here.

I've done a couple of these and they are great fundraisers. I've sold at both of the ones I've done. The stall was £10 plus a raffle prize donation. They sold tickets on the door and in advance at £5 which included a free glass of wine. Where abouts are you holding it??
Hi,
I've organised a couple of these events for a local charity - we had a combination of retail type stalls and treatment/pamper sessions. We had people pay on the door rather than selling tickets and entrance included a glass of wine. They then paid extra for treatments etc. I'd advise a booking system otherwise it gets chaotic. Each therapy person had their own clipboard and took bookings.
Once you have a date booked I can add it to my events database if you like.
Gail.

If you had internet access, you could do an on-line party for Barefoot Books - I could provide you with an 'event code' and I would than pass on an agreed percentage of sales to you! Other than that, I would be happy to provide a book or a gift voucher as a raffle prize.

Hi,
I have had stalls at a few of these events and they have always been well supported by the mums and friends of the school ... manicures, pedicures and indian head massage always go down well as well as craft bits etc of course ... I would be happy to come along and have a stall if you are anywhere near me ... other than that I could issue you with a discount code to use on the hair accessories and jewellery on my website.
Kind regards
Tess

This is basically what we were thinking. A price to include entry, a glass of wine, nibbles and one raffle ticket (with option to purchase more raffle tickets). We were thinking about pampering stuff and also selling crafts. My friend works at the local college and she is going to see if we can get some bellydancing display or even tutoring!

It would be here in Southend, which I understand is quite a trek for most MZ'ers!

They are very popular, selling tickets in advance is always a good idea.

I'm going to put it to our pta chairperson on Monday and hopefully then I can get the ball rolling. I'm very nervous though I've never organised anything like this before!:cheesy:

Good luck, our local NCT group run pamper evenings.
Perhaps if it isn't till next term then you could contact your local college, perhaps students would be able to offer some treatments. Our college runs hairdressing, massage, beauty, nail art courses and they always need models.
