I'm feeling really down at the moment, business is slow and I'm hating being on my own for most of the day.

I tried getting a part time job to go alongside the business, but p/t jobs are few and far inbetween .

Anyone else feeling this?

What should i do?? :gly:

In my down time I tend to do marketing or when I am really fed up I play solitaire!

Often I feel my loneliness when I am busy and have too much to do...

Write a list of the things you would like to do and have a go at a few.

You could always go and do a college course for something that would help you with your business.

I felt business is slow at the moment and have been a bit fed up this week. However, yesterday I decide to spend most of my time doing some marketing, that seemed to help - thinking of all the potential new business I am going to get as a result of my efforts:hysterica

No seriously I am just channelling all my time into trying to raise my profile wherever I can.

Cheer up things will turn around soon.:kisshands:

I find working from home very isolating sometimes too. Even though I'm really busy with my site I try to make time to meet with friends for coffee or take a break so that I'm not indoors all the time with my laptop and working stupid hours. I still sell cards and help at a couple of local toddler groups on a weekly basis so that gets me out of the house. I ended up working from a cafe in town yesterday as we had no power or broadband at home.

Well i am doing the opposite! i gave my notice in at work yesterday to cocentrate on my business more, and isolation and lonliness was always on my negative lists of why to give up so the last couple of months in preparation i have organised lucnh dates/ meets with friends family etc, just one a week and that way i look forward to a break and my relationships with my friends doesnt suffer :) have you thought about networking too? our local branch of business link to networking events and although its daunting the first time i have met some really lovely/helpful people..

Failing that chat on the forums!

Only thing I found was that a lot of my friends have gone back to work now their children are all at school (my youngest started in September). Sometimes it's just me and a magazine in Starbucks but at least I'm out of the house! I was going to the gym regularly but have had to stop for a while after an op so now I just sit and eat cake!
