Just thought I would share this little peice of info to other sellers,

I have had an item removed by Ebay
the reason given was ' circumvention of ebay fees'

Now I am a power seller and try to obey all the rules, but I always thought that circumvention of fees' was when a seller was charging too high a figure for the postal fee, and a much lower fee of the selling price.

So guess why I have had this against me?

Because I put the following sentence

' Larger quantities available just email me if you cannot see what you are looking for.'

I was selling simmering granules, in 200g packets

They do not give you an opportunity to fight back!!!!
I am so mad and the reason will be somebody used it against me, as Ebay never remove anything without it being reported,

so word to the wise, don't try to be too helpful on your description.

I hate ebay. I put some of my daughters clothes on a few weeks back and as some still actually had tags on, and quite a few were unworn.I described them as new and had all bids starting at 99p, I wasn't bothered how much I got for them.Anyway someone reported them because I ad used the term 'as new'.can't remember the exact reason but they obvioulsy hadn't bothered actually looking at the listings.
So I told them to stick and cancelled every single listing including those with bids and sold the whole lot privately, probably for more than they would have sold for anyway. Ebay has lost the plot well and truly.

Ebay has lost the plot well and truly.

I completely agree, where once it was a great way of buying or selling and getting bargains it seems to have lost it's way. Not allowing so many things, changing the way that the feedback system works etc. Its rather silly given that there are now others sites out there filling the gaps.

I think I'm going back to ebid - the final straw was when ebay said a seller couldn't give a buyer a negative feedback - WTF!? How can you have an honest system with all those timewasters and slow payers out there!!

I totally agree, but more people still use ebay, I've got an account with ebid but not sold anything. I try and use the classifieds here as much as I can.
