Well, as I am not working at the moment and have decided to take a couple of months out for myself I have decided with the girls that we are going to start showing the ponies again at local shows.

I used to do it all year round when I was with my ex and it was hard work but worth it to see my little girl smiling with her rosettes and trophies. We have decided not to do winter shows as it is far too much work for me on my own (we used to have a proper yard, 9 ponies and horses and lots of help).

am quite looking forward to it but at the moment the weather is putting me off!!

We have started jumoping them this year with the girls but the one mare (the 13.3 grey) is 21 and we have owned her since she was three, we have done everything with her, she has even been hunting with an old friend. My sister, cousin, friend and I went through pony club with her and our old ponies (she is the only one left now from our childhood). She has been there, done that and got the extra large tee-shirt!!!

We have been jumping them at home but I never felt confident letting the kids loose in a jumping class until last august.

The kids were up the stables most of the day today. My dd managed to fimally get her fat hairy sheltie to jump a big jump...well big to a midget!!!!!!

The pitures on this web page are of my dd and her sheltie from a couple of years ago

I guess you think your sheltie has a nice temperament? The couple I knew at the stables I went to were evil little beasts!

he is a little teddy bear. He loves nothing more than being hugged and cuddled. I normally don't like them but he is such a cutie he has changed my opinion of them.

He follows us around like a lost puppy! The kids adore him.

DD has been jumping both the sheltie and my old lady this weekend over some 2'4" barrel jumps! I was very proud of her as although she has been riding since before she could walk, she has been thrown off alot in the past three years and lost her confidence. Now its back with a force!! She is so pleased with herself.
SD was also jumping the same barrels with our NF and she was doing well too.
She has grown a very good partnership with her and she can get her to do alot more than I ever could!
