about a month ago my next door neighbours emailed our landlords on our behalf and asked them if they would consider selling us this house, we got no response and we have now progressed to buying our friends house round the corner

anyway 10 mins ago by neighbour knocked to say the landlords replied tonight and they want to sell...how frigging annoying is that.

but its to late now as I wont let my friend down

Which would be better for you? It may be worth staying where you are and explaining to your friend what has happned. Ask yourself, Where would you like to live and which would be the best financially for you? Good luck with your descission.

obviously it would be easier to stay here, but I dont think we would get the good deal like we have on the other house

but I could never let my friend down, its happen to me twice in my lifetime and its heartbreaking I couldnt do it to someone else

I think you did the right thing you would have felt really guilty if you let your friend down. I hope you are very happy in your new house!
