This is a really simple covered card for those who are not sure on the easiest way to do it. I've carried it on to make a simple greetings card. I've used a navy blue card to make it easy for you to see, though of course you can use any colours you like.
1) Take your folded card and put double sided tape all around the outside front edge and a strip down the middle. If you are using an adhesive roller instead of tape use in the same way.

2) Place the card face down onto the plain side of the backing paper. Make sure you have around a cm of excess paper on the folded side of the card.

3) Cut around the card, leaving the cm of paper on the folded edge. I prefer to use a craft knife for this but use scissors if you want to.

4) Place a stip of double sided tape down the cm stip and with the card folded in half fold the strip over to the back and stick down, making a nice tidy finish to the card.

This is the easiest way of covering a card with backing paper that I've ever found and it's the method I use all the time. Do make sure you remember to place your card on the plain side of the paper though and also if there is a definite right and wrong way up for the paper make sure you stick in on the right way round, I've made both these mistakes to many times when I've been in a rush.
I've used this covered card to make a simple greetings card as follows.
5) Take a piece of co-ordinating ribbon and place double sided tape down its length.

6) Place the ribbon just before the middle of the card from the fold and stick down. Trim the ends to neaten.

7) Take a large paper flower, I cut this one out with a large punch but you can buy this type of flower in craft shops or take apart a fabric flower from a cheap bunch from the £1 shop. Make a hole in its centre if there isnt' already one and use either a large button or a large brad (paper fasterner type thing) to make the flowers middle.

8) The final stage, place a sticky pad in the centre of the flower and stick ontop of the ribbon at the top left of the card. I've stamped Happy Birthday onto the bottom right of the card but you could use a peel off or a rub on with any message you like.
