View Full Version : State of shock!
Hi there
I have just found out yesterday that I am 6 weeks pregnant! Obviously at my age (37) its great, but why do I feel utterly petrified and panicked?
I hope this feeling goes away, as I really don't want to feel like this for 9 months. Anyway, if anyone else out there feels the same, I would love to share it with you.

Hello and welcome to the site, and congratulations on your news!
I was 34 when I had my first child (planned) and yes, I was scared at the thought of being responsible for another life, and having to change the things I was used to doing (like going out, for example!)

Congratulations, ""cutey""b i have 3 children and felt like that with all of them. I was 31 when I had my last DD and was worried and upset the most as it was an unplanned pregnancy. The feelings went as my bump grew and I could feel baby moving around. I look back now and wonder what I was so worried about.

Hi and welcome to the site!
I'm due my second child next week and spent the night before last in tears because I'm terrified, it's completely normal! We've got a lot of hormones to deal with as well and they make everything seem so much worse. It will all turn out right. Congratulations!
Congratulations :party05: ...everyone gets scared, is this your first? my sister had twins (her first pregnancy) when she was 37 and yes she was scared too
