All my kids are reading a classic childrens series called "Jackie......." by Judith M Beresford. I read the series as a child and loved them so I bought them for my little girl who has since shared them with her step-sisters.
My advice is, if you have horse mad children in your home try second hand book shops or Amazon and collect the series, they are a truely English gem and little girls love them!
