If I dont have to have any contact with either mine or pauls family for the next couple of weeks ill be chuffed as at the moment ive had enough of them all

I had my parents stay this weekend and my dad basically didnt move from the TV and had my lap top with him all the time, he is so unsocialble

my mum gave me a lecture on feeding MY children and then went on to tell me im getting wrinkly and I should use creams now otherwise ill look like my nan...cheers, im now so paranoid

pauls mum had the hump all weekend as my parents were here and called them the "visitors" everytime she spoke to me....miserable cow she is so jealous of my mum its untrue

and then I had my sister on the phone last night winging about my parents

all in all it wasnt a great weekend

Big hugs to Debbie - know how you feel

thankfully my mother in law though alive Ive only spoken to her twice in 20+ years.

my mother is the same has yours - why I cant be like my sisters she will never know.

Keep chin up and realise your not the only one who would some times like to divorce from their parents :happy72:

not wanting to rub anything in but I get on great with my mum now (we did have a mini fall out going back to the 80's but that is all behind us) and she is there for me and really loves the kids.

and the same for when my stepfather was alive and he loved the kids as well and they really miss him

with the mil it is great as I hardly see her as she lives in Shrewsbury and I can't remember the last time I saw her but it could be when cam was getting over chicken pox in Yr5 in the winter term and the same with the fil

with my dad I haven't seen him for a couple of years now and have only met my stepmother twice andthat suits the kids as madam does not like him and cam is indifferent to him and they barely know her
