Hi everyone, Just thought I would say hi, I have just recently split from my partner of 7 years and we have two kiddies 4 and almost 3. I work part time as an administrator and never seem to have time to myself and when the kids are in bed at night I have too much quietness which allows me to think too much!!

I just would like to find some friends in a similar situation, even better if they lived nearby, to chat to etc. Hope this forum can help out. cryingsmil
Thanks

Pam

Hi all, thank you for the welcome.
Ex left yesterday and it was very hard. My ds2 (2 years) didnt understand (or so I thought!) Today he asked where daddy was and I told him daddy was sleeping at his friends house and his bottom lip went down and he said 'what forever'. My heart sank.

I am now left without a car and you never realise those silly things make a big difference for popping to the shop or round a friends house. I have no friends in walking distance. I have to walk to work which is half an hour away and then after I have to pick up dd and then another 10 mins to ds2 nursery. One good thing I may lose weight.Although I havent really felt like eating anyway.

Well I will speak to you all later.

Regards
Pam

Hi All,

My ex is having the kids for the first time since he left tomorrow for a couple of hours and I feel quite nervous. Is this normal?

I feel like he is going to get the good bits like take them to wacky warehouse and Mac'd etc and I get all the crap like making them tidy up after themselves and brush their teeth!

I havent had a car since he left and feel quite isolated. I am going to walk into town when he has them so I am not sitting in an empty house. What am I going to do when he has them for the whole weekend? I dont drink so I can't get hammered.

I am also stuck about childcare issues as I dont know what the best solution will be with regards to the hours I should work and how long to put the kids in nursery/childminder. My youngest is only 2 and they go to nursery in the morning but I think it is too much for them to be there all day and I wouldnt get time with them properly. I'd get home about 4.30 and by the time they are fed and washed it will be bedtime!

I know I have to work it all out for myself I just wanted to have a moan:hissyfit:
And I know things will work themselves out in the end but I feel like I am in a deep hole with slippery sides and I am waiting for the knight to throw the ladder down and rescue me:help2:

Night All
Pam
