I don't think he will Madmum,by the look of the feedback they are all ganging up on him and reporting to the police. One feedback said that he had ripped people of to the amount of $310,000.

He's a complete con artist, but look at it this way - not all that neg f/back has been received in the last few days, it dates back for ages - why on EARTH would anyone buy anything from him?! I certainly wouldn't - did these people not check his feedback before bidding? I very nearly got done on ebay recently but fortunately the seller relented after several weeks of silence & no item, and sent me a refund. It's incredibly frustrating and the knowledge that someone has stolen your money makes you incredibly angry :angry-smi , but in this case the woman had no neg f/back so I wasn't expecting it. This bloke has scammed left right and centre and people were still buying
It's a terrible thing to do at Christmas, and I'm sure he planned it to happen now as people spend a lot more at this time of year. I do feel sorry for the people who have lost their money and Xmas pressies though, the sums involved are not pennies; they've lost quite a lot of money each. I hope ebay sorts it out quickly, but I suspect it will be a long time before these people see their money again.

Why did people still go on buying from him, surely one look at his feedback should have warned anyone off buying from him, I'm a bit cagey if they have more than about 3-4 bad feedbacks

Cannot believe e-bay allowed him to trade for so long. I am an e-bay trader and when i sell or buy anything i always check other peoples feedback. Some people are just mean and out to make a quick pound and dont care about the poor people who have lost money.

You can make your feedback private so other ebayers can`t see it, maybe thats how they did it. I wouldn`t buy off someone without seeing their feedback though, if it was private, I`d be suspicious and wouldn`t buy. My guess is the only way they`ve done it is had private feedback and when they got kicked off ebay, it`s now available to everyone else?

Even with private feedback you can still see how many positives, neutral and negatives they have...you just can't see the comments that's all.

Some people just dont check feedback before bidding. And then there are those who just dont do any neg feedback at all! (Noone likes to own up to being conned either!)
As for ebay taking action, they seem to mostly rely on other members reporting a policy violation, which they do take action on btw. If noboby reports the member, its unlikely action will be taken.

He has certainly made a fast buck or two out of it, hasn't he - but most of the negative feedback is 18 and 19 of December. On the recent ratings it gives 105 in the past month !!!!!!!!!!! but only 107 for the last 6 months, which means only 2 between June and November approx, and 109 for the year, so again only 2 in the first half of the year. If I am reading it right, that is.
Hope all those people manage to get their money back.
