I must admit that i'm rather addicted to redoing our website. there isn't a year goes past without us tearing it down and putting it back up again. this year will be no exception.

the main reason i like to do it is that i start to hate my site. i get site envy as there's nothing nicer than a beautiful but informative website.

anyway, it got me to wondering:

1. what's your favourite shopping site for looks.

2. what's your favourite shopping site for navigation / ease of use.

3. which site do you think succeeds more than most at providing you with all the answers to your questions before you had them - ie fantastic images that answer your question, easy to read informative text etc.

I always think Amazon is the best online shopping experience and the more it develops its interactivity the more it improves.

I always think Amazon is the best online shopping experience and the more it develops its interactivity the more it improves.

For some reason I've never liked shopping from Amazon and now I sell products that they do I really don't like them :hysterica

People seem to buy things from them regardless of the price and don't seem to care or perhaps realise that the Market Place sellers aren't actually Amazon, no different to ebay.

I've sold things much dearer on Amazon than on my site. I've been sure that the customer has visited my site as I've seen a similar search term in my stats just before they have made their purchase through Google.

Thanks! Although I'm getting seriously worried - I've slipped from the top of page one for "party bags" right to the bottom cryingsmil

I need to start doing some serious work on it.

I'll answer your original question when I get a chance to think about it!
