I use Asda and I've never found them anything but excellent, I suppose it depends on the actual staff in your area. I love online shopping, fab for all the heavy bulky stuff, though I do still nip in and pick extras up too.

Yes it probably just depends where you,re from but here they are awfull,we,ve had very late deliverys, all my fridge stuff missing at one time i rang the call centre to tell them, they did,nt bother to ring the store so was waiting for an order that was never going to show up,when it did arrive the bags where covered in some sort of cleaning fluid, rang again they said they would send me a voucher for £10 off it never arrived. That was it for me shaz

Use Asda here too and (finger's crossed) apart from missing a couple of small items they are usally very good.

Dont think the tesco nearest here actually delivers to where i live or i would try them!

We use Asda, and I must admit, I can't say a bad word about them- I have always found them to be very helpful.

We did use Tesco a couple of times, but didn't find them as good, and found they they always used to muck our order up- lol!

Where we are moving to there is an Asda about 10 mins away (we don't have an Asda or Tesco near here), so hopefully I will be able to go and do the shopping myself!

Ive had nothing but problems with asda too...taking 2 lots of money for a payment, then we have to wait upto 10 days in some cases to get 2nd payment back..its happened to us 4 times and ive now stopped shopping online with them. I cant afford for it to keep happening, the 2nd lot of money they take may be all we have and having to wait for them to give it back is a a nightmare!
Crazy thing is Asda say they cant understand either why they keep taking 2 payments! Eg: £80 for one weeks shop taken on monday..then £80 taken again 3 days later!
Something somewhere isnt right, but it drove us mad, so no more asda for us :ac39: :fryingpan:
I must add we havent had any probs with the deliverys, get delivered into the kitchen staff friendly and helpful...but the money side is a no no

i use Sainsburys who are generally very good, they sometimes make some odd choices for the substitutions but I guess it jsut depends on who is picking the order. I didn't know Asda offered a delivery service.

Must say that I have tried all the online shopping services that are available in our area and by far and the best is Ocado. Absolute TOP CLASS service, excellent shelf life on products, polite staff and I can count on one hand the number of substitutions I have ever had.

They are also now price matching Tesco on branded items I believe so thats makes them even more better IMO:hyper:

I use Waitrose they dont do Ocado around here they deliver direct from the store you pay a little bit more but it's so much easier than driving miles to the shop and the quality is brilliant always very happy, have used tesco in the past where we used to live and delivery was rarely on time

We used to use Ocado when we lived in London - more expensive, but they were brilliant. In over a year we only ever had one substitution (smoked for unsmoked bacon - doubt I'd even have noticed!) sell-by dates were always a good way off and they were always bang on time within their one-hour timeslot. We lived in a really inaccessible first floor flat too, and they would always bring the stuff right into the kitchen for me. Pricey, but can't fault them. The website was also really easy to use. They only cover London and the South East though, I think.

I tend to use tesco's just cos I find the website easier to use, prefer the way you can see exactly what's in basket instead of just the non-detailed asda list ... that way I can add and delete as needed ... ordered my shopping in 5 mins flat this morning when I got to work as desperate for biodegradeable nappies, which was unable to get yesterday and milk ... well worth the delivery charge!

if you look on the price comparison website, my supermarket i think it's called Asda and Tesco come out way cheaper than waitrose/ocado. They actually compare your own basket of shopping.

No question Ocado more expensive - I knew people who'd had loads of really dodgy substitutions with Tesco, and them turning up really late, so I was willing to pay extra for the service then.

I prefer to do all my shopping in person, as you can rely on what you get and the dates. But I think when i get more heavily pregnant and when i have little baby i might switch to doing it online to make it alot easier.

I've used Tesco and ASDA and I'm not keen on either.

I never order fruit and veg from Tesco because it always turns up as the last things you would buy in person, and I had to refuse it....and then had to go out and buy some...which defeats the object.

I also find the Tesco site a real pain to use, it takes me about an hour to do a shop, ASDA's is much easier to use...for me anyway.

I used to like the Iceland site but they've stopped doing it now. Shame!

I think it varies as to which store your shopping comes from. I don't do much online shopping these days but have used Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys.

I used Asda and not happy that the food had a quick sale by date on at least on the Tesco website it states they will pick the best sale by dates.

I used to shop online with Tesco a lot before I got a job at Morrisons. I never ever paid for delivery though as I always found a discount code.
