I have conducted an independent study (no pun indended) which goes as follows:

Tester:Can you pick up a copy of the Independent while you are out?
Subject:Why?
Tester:Can you pick up a copy of the Independent while you are out?
Subject:Why?
Tester:Can you pick up a copy of the Independent while you are out?
Subject:Why?

Repeat for about 5 minutes

Conclusion

Tester:BECAUSE I SAID SO!

So, there we go - indefatigable proof - all men are children! :D
