Can I use my mei tai for a forward facing carrier? Or a hip one? Has anyone tried these positions?

TIA

the recommendation is to always have your baby facing you as this is better for their hips and means they can opt out if they're over stimulated. Some can be used as hip carriers - slingmeet is the best place to ask for info.

ive used mine a couple of times. i have got two, one is wider at the bottom so it made her legs spread too much iykwim. very weird looking and i don;t think she liked it much. the one which is narrower at the bottom was more comfy for her and me but then i had a problem of the neck support bit being too high on her throat.
Ive never figured out how to tie a mt on the hip

They can be used for hip carries, and some can be forward facing too. Feel free to PM me if you would like more info.
