Hows everyone doing? has it been an amazing April?
I have been steady but had a fab stall last week to make sales up by 150% up on last April already and were only half way through the month!

I wasn't despatching orders last week as we were away so I only had two! The past few days haven't been bad though.

No, my April is feeling much quieter than normal, but i've got quite a bit of increased competition. I'm still double on last year but it doesn't have the same manic feel the last 2 Aprils have had. March was good though and i'm enjoying selling more wooden stuff now too - PM is picking up nicely :)

Its the early Easter that mucked everyone about i think, March was ok,i had holidays in March and shut up shop for 2 weeks! although for me Feb was fantastic!

So far so good :happy72:

I posted 10 items today at a cost of about £43.00 - blimey!
That's a lot for me!

We're on target to carry on the recent sales trend - which is at approx 5 times what we did this time last year, so I'm very happy.

The new site is doing well too - need to really push it soon though in terms of online directories, inbound links etc.

Hi

April hasn;t been bad - done as much now as I did all April last year. It has knocked me a bit being away for a couple of weeks in March though.

April has been dead for me on Delicate Dreams. :-(

Can't say the same for Ihelm Enterprises though. LOL I've got 4 sets of accounts needing vat returns and 4 websites plus 3 additional sets of accounts to sort - as well as my own stuff. LOL

Things have been steady for me since February and I am feeling really positive about Perfect Presents.

Babies Boutique on the other hand is dead. I have lost any enthusiasm for it, the website needs changing and some updating doing but I have been so busy with Perfect Presents that I just don't have time.

If it wasn't for HSBC having been down last weekend (first in the month is usually quite good as it follows pay day) I think we'd be substantially up on last year. Sales year to date are slightly up. Otherwise not bad, all things and school holidays considered. Apparently many of my competitors are down or up and down (says a main supplier) but we are very steady and consistant - which I think can only be a good thing.

It's been a bit quiet but I think the Easter / Spring holiday may have
affected things as I'm generally quieter during school hols

April started well, but has been quiet (wholesale orders wise) this week. There is always something to do, though, and I've been working on press releases and product promotion to (hopefully!) give my stockists something to shout about :happy72:gd12

Mines the worst month for ages as well so I guess that it's the wrong time of year for educational stuff.

I thought that, but then just thought I was making excuses. September and October are my best months. Gosh I've got a long wait.

It has been garbage here too. For five days I had a message on the site saying that orders would be delayed till the end of the week as I was on holiday so that would have reduced sales.

I then had a period of quite a few days with no sales at all. I thought I was well over that stage so I kept thinking there was a fault with the site and testing it. :cheesy:

I'm afraid I'm with the gloomy people here - April has been very quiet for me too following a very busy March. Hopefully things will pick up for us all soon.

It has been quiet here too, not deathly but certainly quieter than previous months.

I am really wondering if the recession is kicking in. Our personal monthly outgoings have gone up by over £250 (in fact it is closer to £300) and so we just don't have any spare cash at all. This has mainly been down to our fixed rate mortgage ending (and I've read this has happened to millions of homeowners), plus rising fuel, food and other household bills. We have now stopped everything bar essential purposes and I wonder how much other people are doing the same?

What we have noticed is that we are getting the same amount of orders but the basket value is much lower, I think that people just don't have available cash and so it is "essential" purchases only right now.

Our fixed rate ended too and we have just renewed and it is higher too and bills just generally seem to be higher. Also my sons nursery fees seem to be extortionate. Along with that work being quiet and me only having one maternity pay left now from my employment so I will be hanging in my notice soon which is quite scary.

March was great, I had lots of nursery/school orders yet I've had one this month. I wondered if they were using up their bugdget before the end of the year.

Things are going steadily for me this month. Have got another mention in Bead magazine when the next issue comes out as last time they forgot to put my website address in, so fingers crossed that that will pull in more customers.
