I have a friend who is going to help me do a banner (like the ones flashing above) I explained to her that I would like it to be similar to the ones I had seen on here. ie flicking between different ones. So is that one banner or two, or even three?

It will be several different versions and in order to make it animated you will need the right software.

The ones I have done have all elements on different layers within the one image (I use Photoshop) then when I want to animate it, I uncover what layers I want at that time and cover some up, etc. I use Imageready to animate but only ever have the one file. It depends what you use.
When I used animation shop (before I had Photoshop etc) I would import each frame in so would have 3 (or however many) different jpgs or gifs and use the animation wizard to do the fancy animation.

you need an image hoster like photobucket. upload the image and then you can post using the IMG code underneath the pic. other than that you can email it to me and ill put it up for you if you want xx

Looks good Ann, should it be rotating or did you go for static in the end?

To be honest I am not that great at banners and my past efforts are pretty lame so I ask Daffs to do mine now. Has your friend googled to see if there are any helpful tips that way as it will also depend on which program she uses.

In Paint shop you do two images, when you want them join them together you use the animation wizard tool.
That is if you want the whole banner to flash from one image to the next. I don't know how to do with layers, too complicated for me. You can set the length of time that each image shows for before changing to the next.

Is paint shop something different to Photoshop?
