I think the BBC are doing the right thing and not exploiting everything at the moment. They have their reputation to think about. The Sun etc are reporting on allegations and what "they" think has happened.

You would have thought that they would have learnt lessons from the McCann case where The Mirror had to pay out.

I agree that it doesn't add it but until the full details are relayed from the police, I am not going to be drawn into what the gutter press are writing at the moment. I know this case is very different from the McCanns and the fact that they (the Matthews team) contacted the McCanns fund for money (this was also reported in the news) suggests to me that this is definetly not a "missing person" case.
