A q about energy saving lightbulbs

if they break., how do you get a new one if they are guaranteed for 10 years and you haven't got a reciept? :question:
we've had ours for about 2 years and tonight it just went out shrugshoulders111 does anyone really keep a reciept for them???

i might just buy a new one (the exact same one). get the reciept and take the broken one back a couple of days later and say that it was the new one that blew....is that wrong??
