I am not surprised you are angry!
I must admit I have had the opposite- no problems with Asda, but plenty with Tesco, though I need to do an Asda online order later, so now that I have said that........ lol!
I really hope they take your complaint seriously!

I wouldn't have been impressed either. You should phone and ask to speak to the Manager!

You'd have thought they could have phoned you to explain that had happened, crap customer service by the sound of it.

I used asda online once and wasn't very impressed either. Not surprised you weren't happy.

9 times out of 10 my card is declined in ASDA, one time I had spent less than £30 and had over £300 in the bank (for a change) I made them wait while I got the cash out and bought back an account balance, I hate being made to look stupid and skint in front of a que of people, their stupid tills hadn't even contected to the bank, coz they can tell when it's been requseted and/or declined! Kept blaming A & L but has done it with my new Co-op account too!!
( I don't like asda but in-laws won't shop anywhere else, and they're the ones driving me)

i am a frequent asda goer myself, but have also never used the online bits. i must say, tho, that is sounds like they put the thick ones on that. you should definitely ask to speak to a manager. they should really know how their customers are being handled. its so frustrating to have things like that happen because you rely on the efficiency of it. im sorry that had happened to you!
i have also had strange issues with asda in store. not a terrible situation, but also felt a bit daft in the que. i was paying with a voucher and the women had to figure out how much was on the voucher and then punch it in like a credit card to credit me. instead, she charged me for that amount and added it to the total, as if i had added to the card! siooo frustrating...had to call someone else over to help, and she was just reprimanding the first women the whole time while trying and not succeeding at fixing it herself! all the meantwhile, a line formed into the isles on a tame weeknight! after about 20 minutes, i said to them, listen, just charge it, ill use it aagin. now that means i have to go back and hopefully NOT deal with the same thing that had happened this time!!!

I have stopped using asda online, as 4 times now they have tried to take 2 payments for every shop i did...eg one week i spent £70 so they tried to take 2 lots of £70, this happened 4 times with them.
When trying to get any money out of our bank we couldnt cos £70 that we thought was in the bank and was ours was waiting to go through to asda even tho they had already taken one lot of £70 for the online shop. Evrytime we had to wait upto 10 days for them to release their grip on this money, no matter how many times we phoned and complained, no one had an answer for us why this kept happening
But not anymore, i have finished with asda online forever!! We dont have alot of money and cant wait for them to give us back money.
