Finally we have sold our house (STC) and had an offer accepted on one we want to buy. Hurray!

BUT now I'm panicking about moving Baby Bean, any top tips? I'm trying to let stocks dwindle, but need to keep enough of my bestsellers to meet demand. I'll try and keep the same phone number if I can, but I'm not sure what lines are in at the new house, definitely no braodband.

It's a renovation project so there's going to be a fair bit of disruption. What's the best way to handle it, should I shut up shop for a week or just try and keep going through the chaos?

I also wondered about getting a PO Box rather than putting my new address on the site - any advice?

Congrats on the sale!

Personally I'd shut up shop for a week, as long as it's not a crucial time. You can warn your customers so you might shift a bit of stock if they know you are going to close for a while too.

good luck!

Another option might be to rent at eg Storage King a unit for your stock. You could move that out before moving house. Would mean a bit more work in double moving it but this would keep you valuable room in your house, for a couple of months while you sort yourselves out and regain some space (thinking renovation job won't be too clean either....).

AGH. Sale of our house still going fine, but the one we wanted to buy is proving to be a nightmare, so we're walking away from it and going into rented accomodation for 6 months (or longer).

I currently have a BT business phone line and broadband package, will I be able to move this twice and still keep my phone number? I don't really want to be installing business lines into a rented place though. Can't get my head around what to do, am all in a tizz.

I am not the best person to talk about moving.....but for the phone numbers, why not switch to an 0845 number. We don't pay anthing for ours )from gti I think) and they then redirect all the calls to whatever landline we give them.

Usually takes about 12 hours to have the redirection done and it means you can keep the same phone number, no matter how many times you move.
