Okay - I am thinking of changing the colour of the text on my homepage and would like all you lovely peoples advice please:laugh:
As it is at the moment the bulk of the text on the homepage is in a dark pink with highlighted words in lilac.
I am thinking maybe it would look better in black with my highlighted words (i.e. my brand names) in the dark pink.
What do you think. (dont be too hard:cheesy:)

I think it would look better in black, maybe a few shades lighter than black like a dark grey
check here for colour codes http://www.computerhope.com/htmcolor.htm
you could still have your links a different colour or have them in bold

Thanks I'll have a look at that. I hadn't thought of a lighter shade of black need to have another play.

I think you have made the right decision to change the text. The darker text looks better.:happy72:
I also think that maybe it would be better to have the formal subjects in black, like your Returns Policy, T&C's and Privacy Policy. I think all the legal stuff should be in a more conservative colour BUT I do like pink!!
I also think the contrast would be good and less dazzling on the eyes.
Can I also make a suggestion to your returns policy? Hope you don't mind...
Your terms state:
Should you have the need to return an item please inform us via email within 24 hours of receiving your order.
To trade in accordance with the distance selling regulations you have 7 working days starting the day after delivery in which to make a decision about the order. This is called a cooling off period.
Hope that helps.....:kisshands:

I am unsure about the size of text now - I've made it slightly bigger (maybe too big?). I don't have much scope with regards to the style of text on my control panel I really want it in comic sans but I don't have that option.
Been having a play today and will be looking at my other pages when I get chance i.e. t&c's.
Thanks for your point on the Distance Selling Regs - am on to it:happy72:

I like the text being darker but I think having it all bold is hard to read. I think it's too big.
You'll get there in the end!

I think the font you are using is nice and clear.
Its a simple change if you prefer another font though. Comic sans is a little over used IMO.
You may find it useful to change your screen resolution to see all the different ways your website is viewed to get an idea about font size etc.
The T&Cs, Returns Policy is much better in black, but you still gotta sort that content if you want to be legit.
Should you have the need to return an item please inform us via email within 24 hours of receiving your order.
This would be considered a breach of the customers rights as the regs state they can cancel the order by letting you know upto 7 working days starting the day after delivery. They don't have to let you know in 24 hours.
Here is a link to help, its a got a business guide which you can download too:

To change the resolution you need to go to your desktop and right click, select properties and then select settings and adjust the screen resolution bar in the bottom left hand corner.
