Hi there, I have been a member on here since 2004 according to my profile, but I still haven't posted anything, what a dope...

My name is Jan, 38 full time mum...to 4 little angels.

I love writing poetry, reading, doing puzzles, and I used to love X stitch, I have done some lovely samplers etc, but can't do it now, as I have a degenerative eye disease, and can't see the stitches too well. :hissyfit:

Anyway it'll be nice to chat to some of you, take care :happy72:

Hi Anne, thanks for the welcome, your kids look sooo cute, the little boy in the middle looks a bit like my youngest, his dad keeps shaving his head, last month he gave him a mohican...it looked so funny, ppl stopped me in the street to say he looked cute

lol, Jack, my eldest had a mohican until this week. I made him shave it off for his school photo. My little girl gets all upset when the boys get their heads shaved, says she wants hers done too, I have to snip her fringe and convince her she`s had a haircut!

:woot: My girls all have quite long hair, and I do snip their fringes too, unfortunately they have to check their long hair every week for the dreaded nits :ac39: Ooh the perfect smilie!!!

:thanks: for the welcome guys :happy72:

I don't really know of any treatments for the nits, I never use the chemicals on them, cause in my experience they don't work, so I just do wet combing with lots of conditioner...it's a nightmare, I did hear about a doctor who recommended 5ml of tee tree oil mixed with 100ml Vegetable oil, massage onto scalp and leave for 1 hour, wash and comb with nit comb, repeat 3 times at 2-3 day intervals, not tried it yet, but the hair will be very greasy with all that vegetable oil in
