Why oh why do I buy things off EBAY and tell myself that I got a bargain?

:fryingpan: Stupid woman - they are a bargain because they are crap and thats why the seller doesn't want it anymore!

I've just bought a pushchair (well, nearly 2weeks ago I did and it only arrived today but thats another story lol) and it was described as 'very good condition'.

OMG no it bliddy isn't! Its grubby, even inside the basket, the frame is scratched, the hood is faded, the popper off the hood where it attaches to the pushchair is missing, there is no tread left on the tyres - need I go on?

I've emailed the seller and told her all this and am waiting her response, but dh is going to kill me! It was £40 all in with the postage which ok isn't a fortune and won't break the bank but I want a refund! There is no way I will ever use the pushchair, I wouldn't be seen dead out with it, so I will have to bin it. I only wanted it as a second pushchair to keep in the car but its awful :hissyfit:

Oh Dear! Sounds really c--p!

I bought a new one from Tesco the other week for £39.99 - perhaps you should have a look there instead.:happy72:

Hope you get your refund.

This is the reply:

hi ,dont know what you want me to say ,that pushchair is in good used condition ,perhaps my standards arent as high as yours but it is as discribed ,there is tread on tyres but it has been used so it is going to be worn down, there is going to be slight marks and wear, its not brand new ,ime sorry its late but ther is nothing wrong with that pushchair there was pictures supplied on listing ,thanx deb

This is the item number if you're bored and want a look 230277387440

Ummm, theres only one pic on there...and she did not describe any poppers missing or faded hood. Christ, thers even mud still on the wheels!

Dh was fine actually and said don't bother to chase it up and that he'll buy a new pushchair at the weekend, but thats not the point. I don't like being diddled.

What should I do now?

I can't find it with that item number on eBay, if you paid with Paypal put a claim in for "not as described" you may find (in fact almost 100% sure) you'll have to send it back so they sign for it & you won't get postage back unless your very lucky but you should get the money back you paid for it then.

I was going to say same as Yvonne, if she will not refund, raise a paypal dispute, you will get your money back.
What has standards got to do with it, if she described as 'very good condition' and did not describe any wear and tear, then she has sold an item that does not fit description.
And photos taken carefully do not show up all the flaws.
I wouldn't put it down to experience I would follow it up until I was satified and had my money back.

I can't find it on that item no. either.

hope you do get your money back, the pushchair has been incorrectly described, if you bought it in a shop you'd be entitled to a refund....good luck
