Needed please!!

It is the school Christmas Disco next weekend - with optional homemade fancy dress for the kids.

Ds has decided that he has to be a dalek(!) I've looked on tinternet and got a couple of ideas. but still not sure how to create this masterpiece! - please can anyone help?

Dd said yesterday that she wants to be a ghost! - quite simple I suppose using a white sheet - but maybe a Christmas twist, like in a Christmas Carol? ie ghost of christmas past/present/future?

The costumes do not have to be worn all evening - just for a small parade/the judging part. so sitting down in it isn't such a consideration!

Didn't the ghost of christmas future wear a long black cloak wit the hood pulled well forward and just a bony finger sticking out to point?

as for Daleck - erm colander on head, octagonal body made from card board from a large box or 2 and hung from straps over shoulders. bumps made from yoghurt pots (or fromage frais pots - they'd probably be better), all sprayed black, sink plunger attachment on colander.

Does that help at all ?

Thanks Lisa - yup was thinking along those lines myself (have been making kids eat fromage frais for the last week! lol.)

Maybe also a bit of tinsel etc, ready for "The Christmas Invasion"?

to make the ghost more original, use a white/blue/silver dress and paint your daugthers face either white, blue or silver.
