Raffle - ask each parent to bring in a prize then sell tickets.
Cake sale - ask each parent to make a cake then have a sale
Indulgence evening - invite local body shop/virgin vie/beauty salons etc - charge them for the pitch they have then invite all the mums and charge a £1 entry and again have a raffle.
Sponsored walk for the children - make it easy like a half mile
Also if you are having a raffle or the like approach local businesses for prizes eg local indian restaurant - will they goive a free meal for 2, local hairdresser will she give a free cut and blow dry
Approach a local business and see if they will sponsor you - eg swimming for the children here is provided by Bloggs the newsagent and Jones the butcher
Make sure whatever you do always get the local press involved - they always love tthings with kids
Have a family fun day/ BBQ when the weather is a bit nicer - sorry forgot you were in Scotland - have you got snow?? Have a sponsored toboganning for the kids or a best snowman competition?

Kirsty -

I am sure people will be along shortly with loads of ideas but I have moved this thread to the fundraising section and if you have a look through some of the previous threads in here you will find lots of useful ideas.

The threads that spring to mind are Smirnoffs Fundraising for the scout hut roof threads and Lemons' threads about fundraising for the plygroup.

Hope you have lots of luck 20061010

The ideas that have been mentioned are good.
What about colour days where you have to wear as many items of clothing of that colour.
Could you make things like badges/ bookmarks etc & charge a small amount.

Hi Kursty
I can give your nursery a code for my website. When a supporter of your nursery buys online and quotes the code at the checkout, I will donate 10% of the sale back to the nursery.
Have a look at my site and PM me if you would like a code.
