I was the same Jane - I was flicking through and as I flicked across, was just at the crucial point when the mum (I presume as I don't watch) was on the phone to emergency services. Even that small snippet set me off, especially as I was feeding Nathan at the time aswell. I had to turn it over quickly, but just that little bit pulled so hard at my heartstrings - my heart goes out to anyone who has gone through a similar loss :kisshands:

Was very surprised when they didn't put up any details at end for support services to help folks affected by the storyline.

Personally, although I think whilst it was very well handled/acted in general, it would have been an ideal candidate for a slightly later timeslot as one of our children kept popping into the room and I'm sure other households still had children milling about at this time. Whilst I would not advocate complete avoidance of such subjects with children, I think you do need to tread a bit more sensitively with them and as the soap focused on the subject for what was quite a prolonged time (for a soap that is), if children had been in the room longer it would have been a difficult one to address.

i knew it was coming up and have been checking everyday in the paper to see when it was on. so i didn't see it.

Having lost a baby to sids its still to raw 10 years on. It is a very senstive subject and many of the forums im on were all warned about it. I dont mind talking about connor or what happened but i dont want to watch the pain that we as a family went through on that night.

ok ill get off my soap box now:laugh:

I agree. My friend said that her 2 boys kept asking questions about death after it & 1 didnt sleep.
Tonight Jack was still up & when they explained to Gabby that Daniel had died, Jack said his mummy will look after the baby in heaven.
It was the first time he has spoken of heaven, so i said to him, Is that where mummy is & he said yes she is a star in heaven. Then he said heaven is a nice place and mummy wont be poorly there.
Made me cry.
