How do you create a banner?

You can either get someone to do it for you or if you want a static banner you can use a graphics package to put your logo with strap line / images or whatever to create something in the size you need.

You need slightly more advanced software to create animated banners but I believe that there are some banner generators available on the internet. Though I cannot talk about the quality created as I have not used them myself as I use photoshop.
