The courier that I use for large parcels put their prices up at the beginning of February so I feel like I'm being hit twice.

I'm thinking i'll have to change to the tracked service soon, they seem to be pushing it and the cost isn't horrendously more but it irritates me to have to pay them more because their service is deteriorating.

Persoanlly I blame it on the fuel companies, I'm sure the price of a barrel of oil has been dropping get now fuel has gone over £1 a litre it's stuck there(gosh I can remember filling up at under 40p a gallon). You know the fuel companies are making megabucks, how many non-independent petrol stations do you know that haven't been completely rebuilt in the past 3 or 4 years? Also there are definite pricing cartels going on, here in Reading on my side of town the A4 the BP/Texaco choice of 5 garages are a good 3-4p a litre dearer than the Esso/Asda/BP on the A327 out of Reading and the BP/Sainsburys on the A4 to the west.

Is the post slow at the moment?

yes, the post is slow at the moment.
I've had a couple of cheques not reach me, and now my post is being delivered at 4pm, which, if a stockist has sent an order form, doesn't give me time to pack the order and get to the post office with it.
And now the prices are going up yet again. GGRRR!!
And how they can claim that airmail takes "3-5 working days" I'll never know. :cheesy:

We got our post at 7pm three days last week!

The first day it happened we assumed that our letter had got posted to a neighbour by mistake and they put it through our door when they got home from work but then it came the same time the next two nights aswell shrugshoulders111

We were going to get ours collected but I think I might stick to taking it to the PO now, even the one off collections will be goign up by £4 a time. What a con...
still i guess it is us the public who have to pay the increase in wages following the ad hoc strikes they had last year..
