Sad that I can no longer get Chutney's beads dh suggested I had a go myself. So I raided my bead box and here is my stretchy bracelet (http://www.flickr.com/photos/14424545@N08/2267081072/) - inspired by the lovely Chutney : )
It looks rubbish compaired to a chutney, but I'm pleased with it for my first go at jewellery making.

I've had a small box of beads that I've added to over the years as I use them in my textiles stuff. But the larger ones are from a great little shop in Lichfield.
website is here ... spellbound (http://www.spellboundbead.co.uk/index.html)
I brought the stretchy bead thread at my local market for £1.50 and there is enough to make about another 20!
Just need to work out how to make my knots a bit stronger as dd pulled it today and half the beads sprung off :cheesy:
its lovely. i love the colours too. very summery :clapping:

Tiny blob of jewellery glue (or superglue!). Someone told me you can also use clear nail varnish.

Thanks Chutney : ) I used a bit of fabric glue today. But BIL has just linked me to some crimp beads on ebay, says they should hold it better??

Yes, I use crimp beads as they finish it nicely. I think a) it looks more professional and b) easier than glue which can get stuck to the beads.

Thanks hun, only problem is they only seem to sell them in packs of 100!! That's a lot of bracelets!

Ha ha! They are quite cheap anyway. 100 looks like a tiny amount when you get them.

Make sure you get the right size crimp beads, the stretchy stuff is usually thicker than your standard tigertail.
Once you start using crimp beads there will be no going back.
