Backpack carrier advantages?

Hi, can anyone help, i am contemplating purchasing a backpack carrier for our 13 month old. anyone any surgestions as to best features, drawbacks etc? Thanks for you input

i have only done a back carry using a mei tai and a wrap,the link that chell put up is one of the kinds that i use and love.

it all depends on what you want it for ie walk to the shops, in the house, hiking etc and how long you want to wear your baby for.
There's such a huge range of different types of carriers.
Have you checked out your local slingmeet at all?
