I currently use Paypal for processing payments but am thinking about moving to Google checkout as the fee's are only 1.5% + £0.15 per transaction

Paypal is 3.4% and 20p per transaction

Anyone else use it? and did you swap fromm paypal?

How easy was the new HTML to add into your pages?

I used it for a time being and it was as easy as pie - they put in (or is it debit - i forget?) money into/out of your account so you can confirm it is your account, so it isn't active straight away. But it is as easy and much cheaper fees.

I only use paypal now, as I still dropship and find it better when my customer pays into my PP account and then for me to pay the dropshipper through paypal as well. So it works out that I don't fork out for anything at all.

If I did not dropship I would certainly use google checkout instead.

Oh and as for the HTML, I do not know as I use store2go ecommerce and it comes as an option and if i choose google checkout it puts it on itself - with just me altering the settings.

I use it (I only integrated it recently) and I find it really easy to use, and since I integrated it I've had 11 orders through it, which I might not have had before.

It was easy to integrate because it's already configured in my EKM shop - I don't know which provider you use, or if you design your own, but there's lots of information on the google checkout pages, and you can even send an email to your provider recommending that they enable it: http://checkout.google.com/seller/integrate.html?hl=en&gl=GB

It took a while for me to set the account active, because they deposit an amount into your bank and you confirm the e amount back, then I had to print off a form, sign it and fax it back before they'd start paying my takings into my account.

I'd recommend you use as many payment processors as possible - and people seem to trust Google checkout.

I am going to be putting it in for someone in the next week so I hope it's easy to integrate!

I had a nightmare with google checkout - where people could select from various shipping prices on site depending on what they had ordered, once they went through with GC they could select free shipping and I ended up losing loads in postage - the free shipping option on site was "in store pick up" but it didn' say that on GC.

It could well be that there was an option I could use to disable it, but I got so ARGH with it in the end that I just gave up.
