No idea, i cant mind his mates name, he has 3 mates who he goes racing with, he sorts their bikes out, they are form herts area and around baout there, Graham somebody, Steve somebody hehehee, bt you neve rknow eh.
As for the leathers yes its best to be sensible and wear leathers, i find leather jeans relaly comfy, bit i sold them when i was skint and was not goin to be on a bike for a long time, guess i should have kept them.

Hi Chris, nice to see you here! As you know I love your soaps and my girls get ever so upset when the soaps finally disappear!

My dad's family are from the Borders, all over really, was born in Selkirk and ended up in Thornhill.

I used to go to the bikes a lot with my dad to Knockhill, but since having the kids the weekends are precious and haven't been in ages.

Good to see you!

Hi Snowy, nice to meet you, no i prefer to be on the bike, i watch the superbikes and whatever else is on about bikes, but i just love being on them, i mind once i got a shot of my ex partners suzuki 750 ohhhh well lol he was on the back off me and i was tryin to turn this corner, well i could hear him shoutin in my lug turn the bike turn harder lean harder, hehehe i just let go the handlebars and let it fall :blusingan as i knew i was not goin to make it anyway, i hurt my leg and the bike just had a scrape on it, i had drove about on my brothers weee 125 years ago, form town to town, it was great.
Knockhill, i have been there loads of times and Beveridge park in Kircaly but they dont use it anymore.
My son was at knockhill not long ago and i never went, but he came back with the bikes taped on his mobile phone and i was soo jealous lol.

Oooooo im jelous-id love to go to Knockhill circuit!!!:hissyfit:

The great thing about Knockhill is that I watched it grow from what was basically a dirt-track. When Derek Butcher bought it over, everyone thought he was mad with the amount of money he ploughed into it, but all his hard work & effort paid off. I remember when the toilets was a little more than a hole in the middle of the field!:smiley-fa It was great to see it expand and then when stuff like the Touring Cars, Superbikes etc started pouring it really was worth making the effort to get there early.

Oooh, I think I am definitely going to make the effort to go along to one of the meetings next year, I am getting all nostalgic now!

Are there still race meetings at East Fortune?

Storm - I moved to Edinburgh about 14 years ago but was brought up in......shhhhhhh, Armadale not far from Livingston! Small world eh?!

storm35
17-11-2005, 02:56 PM
Definately a small world yes, i used to go to Armadale years ago to my dads mate who raced bikes them.
Yes knockhill its worth going to, i have not been for years now, but i will maybe make the effort next year. East fortune yes they still have meetings on, not as much nowadays but still have them.
Have you ever been to the TT, thats my dream, well one of them lol.
Chris xxx

bikemad
17-11-2005, 10:03 PM
Ive never been to the TT but we have discussed going up there for the week-only downside is it is a small island n my ex hubby lives there. :smiley-fa
