wow, u raised so much money there tamara! well done, lets hope we can raise alot of money this year between us all. ive not done any exercise for years so im really unfit, i know u can walk but dont think anyone will join in with me so dont want to walk the whole of the way on my own, so ill be doing lots of training for it. the one in cleethorpes is 22nd june, going to register soon, just want to try to persuade my family to do it with me first. i think if i do this it will not only help a fantastic charity, but it will also help me, think this is just what i need, something to focus on and be proud of myself for.

what is a realistic time for running this event? well i say running, ill prob walk most of the way, anyone have any idea how long it will take? oh, i really hope i can do this, im so nervous about it-it will mean so much for me if i do manage it, just hard to jump into something ive never done before and do it alone, scary! at least ive given myself enough time to train up for it

I did it years ago, shortly after they started, with my mum, we intended to walk it, and I've no idea of the time.
Last year I did it by myself - didn't do any 'formal' training and started walking, but managed quite a few sections of jogging.
I assume they will use the same route round the park this year, so I may (or may not) have a practice go at it, lol. As for time - I don't think that really matters, I wanted to do it in less than an hour, but managed a fair bit quicker than that!

im going to register for this tomorrow, just need to double check with my sister thats she still going to do it, after all, i cant really afford to pay her registration fee and her not do it. little worried he bloke wont let her (dont ask, hes very controlling) but as soon as i can get my name down the better, then theres no going back. feeling very positive about this!
I think I may sign up to do this year... I really want to start running and this is a great reason to do it

I did it for the first time last year. Didn't really do any training and walked it in 57 minutes. There are loads of people walking it so don't feel like you have to run.

Yes, even more so now it seems likely my best friend is going to be diagnosed with breast cancer. I will put my details up but I'm having problems with the fundraising page.

Last year I saw cancer patients doing it being pushed in non-elec wheelchairs so I don't see why not. You could always get in touch with them and find out.:kisshands:
I'll have to think about it, if it rained I'd be screwed.

It is supposed to be women only isn't it ... but it could be different for young kids ... and I'm sure he could join you running across the finishing line if not for all of it?
I haven't registered yet, I'm still waiting for a couple of neighbours to confirm which time they want to do (we have 2 local races) before I do.
