Or should I say trying to?
The last-minute rush to fill in self-assessment tax forms has caused the Inland Revenue's website to crash.
A spokesman for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs told Sky News that HMRC was doing all it could to fix the problem.
However, he was unable to say when the site would be back online.
He was also unable to say what the position was as far as late receipts were concerned - worried would-be taxpayers fear they are in for a fine if they do not submit their form before today's deadline expires.
Accountants were critical of the situation, saying it was an ongoing problem.
"It just goes to show that this pressure for people to file online is not effective," said Angela Beech, head of Personal Tax at Chartered Accountants Blick Rothenberg.
"The system was supposed to be robust and reliable - and consistently reliable for three years - before the Revenue introduced it," Ms Beech said. "Clearly it is not."
"Human nature being what it is, people always leave it to the last minute to do the nasty jobs and this is no exception."
